Day 2Miami–Havana, Cuba (Embarkation)
This morning, a short flight brings you to Havana, Cuba’s capital city. Upon arrival, meet your Cuban National Tour Director. Enjoy an orientation tour of this bustling city, including a photo stop at REVOLUTION SQUARE. Enjoy lunch at a local paladar (special, privately owned restaurant), where over dessert you can discuss the rewards and challenges of owning a business in Cuba and in the United States. This afternoon, take a walking tour and join in a DISCUSSION with an architect in OLD HAVANA, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about renovations, different architecture, and plans for the future. Later today, board your ship, the MTS CELESTYAL CRYSTAL, your home for the next seven nights. (CB,L,D)
Start your day with a visit to FINCA VIGIA, Ernest Hemingway’s beloved home. Hemingway lived in Cuba for more than 30 years, and it is here that he wrote several books, participated in fishing contests and enjoyed the laid-back ambiance of the island. Engage with staff to learn about this Nobel Prize-winning novelist and his life in Cuba. You’ll also have a chance to see his fishing boat, El Pilar. Lunch is at a local ORGANIC FARM, where you’ll join in a discussion with the owners, learn about organic farming in Cuba, and then sit down for a genuine farm-to-table experience. Next, visit a DAYCARE CENTER to interact with the children and the nuns who run the program. The children may even delight you with a song or two. Return to Havana and tour the illustrious HOTEL NACIONAL DE CUBA, a symbol of history, culture, and Cuban identity. The hotel has hosted celebrities and world figures including Winston Churchill, Mohammed Ali, and Steven Spielberg. Reboard your ship for a 5 pm departure for beautiful Maria la Gorda. (B,L,D)
Day 4Maria La Gorda. Excursion To Pinar Del Rio
From Maria la Gorda, we travel to Cuba’s tobacco-growing region. Here, meet a local farmer and his family at a TOBACCO FARM. Learn about the process of growing, drying, and rolling tobacco. You can even try rolling a cigar yourself! Take some time to get acquainted with the owner and his family over coffee. Return to the ship and set sail for Cienfuegos. (B,L,D)
Founded by French immigrants more than 150 year ago, Cienfuegos is known as the “Pearl of the South” because of its impressive beauty and colorful history. Get acquainted on a walk around the main square. Next up: an opportunity to engage with tobacco rollers at a CIGAR FACTORY and to learn about the importance of tobacco, both culturally and commercially, for Cuba. Lunch is served at a waterside paladar, where discussion with the owner and staff could include the free enterprise system in Cuba. Before returning to the ship, enjoy a performance and discussion with the CIENFUEGOS CHOIR. (B,L,D)
Day 6Montego Bay, Jamaica
A full day in Montego Bay. Explore on your own or participate in one of the ship’s optional excursions. (B,L,D)

Next, enjoy a panoramic CRUISE to Granma Island. Over lunch, join in a DISCUSSION with local fishermen and learn about their fishing practices and their community project that helps sustain the environment. Before returning to the ship, visit Jardín de los Helechos, the GARDEN OF FERNS. Here, you’ll interact with workers to learn about the various ferns and orchids found here and will also discuss what is needed to maintain this unique garden. (B,L,D)
A full day cruising the Caribbean Sea. Take time to explore the ship, get to know your fellow passengers, or relax with a book on the deck. (B,L,D)
Day 9Havana (Disembarkation)
This morning, arrive in Havana and disembark your ship. Our first stop is JOSÉ FUSTER’S STUDIO, the artist cleverly nicknamed the “Picasso of the Caribbean.” Here, you’ll discover a surreal world—like nothing you have seen before. Interact with members of the neighborhood to discuss the project’s impact on the surrounding area. We then enjoy a musical performance and join a discussion with choir members and their director from the CUBAN INSTITUTE OF MUSIC. After lunch, meet former Cuban baseball players for a DISCUSSION on the history and the love of this favorite pastime in Cuba and in the United States. This afternoon’s highlight includes a workshop at the ANGELES DEL FUTURO Community Project, where you’ll meet young children learning acrobatics and circus skills. You’ll be amazed at their talents and impressed with the skills they have mastered at such a young age—definitely a trip highlight! This evening, ride in an OLD STYLER CAR to your farewell dinner, the perfect ending to your time in Cuba. (B,L,D)
